About Happy Dogs Daycare

Welcome to Happy Dogs Daycare, where dogs enjoy safe, fun-filled days in a caring and fully supervised environment.

With over 6,000 square feet of indoor daycare space, we've created a purpose-built facility where dogs can play, socialise, exercise, relax, and thrive. Whether you're leaving your dog with us for the very first time or they're already a regular member of the Happy Dogs family, our experienced team is committed to ensuring every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved.

We understand that entrusting someone else with your dog can be a big step. That's why our friendly, professionally trained team goes above and beyond to provide reassurance to both dogs and their owners. Every dog in our care is treated as if they were our own, receiving plenty of individual attention, affection, and enrichment throughout the day.

At Happy Dogs, the wellbeing of every dog is our highest priority. Members of our team are trained in Canine First Aid, Animal CPR, and dog behaviour, giving you complete peace of mind that your dog is in capable and caring hands.

More Than Just Daycare

We believe dog daycare should be more than simply somewhere to leave your dog while you're at work. Our goal is to provide an exciting, stimulating, and rewarding experience that supports your dog's physical, mental, and social wellbeing.

Each day is packed with opportunities for dogs to:

• Socialise with carefully matched canine friends
• Enjoy supervised play and exercise
• Build confidence and positive behaviours
• Receive plenty of human interaction and affection
• Burn off energy in a safe and structured environment

The result? A happier, healthier, and more contented dog that returns home ready to relax after a fun-filled day.

The Benefits of Social Play

Dogs are naturally social animals, and positive interaction with other dogs is an important part of their development and wellbeing. Regular daycare attendance can help dogs:

• Become more confident around people and other dogs
• Improve social skills and manners
• Stay physically fit and mentally stimulated
• Reduce boredom and excess energy
• Minimise unwanted behaviours at home

Many owners tell us they notice a significant improvement in their dog's behaviour, confidence, and overall happiness after joining the Happy Dogs family.

Safe, Structured & Fully Supervised

Our carefully designed daycare facility allows us to separate dogs according to their size, play style, and temperament, ensuring every dog enjoys the safest and most enjoyable experience possible.

All play sessions are fully supervised by our trained team, and before joining daycare, every dog completes an assessment to ensure they are suited to our open-play environment.

We also provide regular feedback and updates to our customers, helping owners better understand their dog's development and offering advice to support positive behaviours at home.

At Happy Dogs Daycare, we're passionate about creating a place where dogs can be dogs — making friends, having fun, staying active, and receiving all the care and attention they deserve.

Because when your dog is happy, so are you.

A Premium Daycare Experience for Your Dog

Conveniently located in Dukinfield, just one minute from Ashton-under-Lyne ASDA, Happy Dogs Daycare is one of the largest and most established dog daycare facilities in the area, serving dogs from Ashton, Stalybridge, Hyde, Denton, Dukinfield, Saddleworth and beyond.

Our 7,000 square foot facility has been designed to provide a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment where dogs can socialise, exercise, learn, and relax while their owners are at work or otherwise occupied.

Every dog in our care is treated as a valued member of the Happy Dogs family. Our dedicated team is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care, ensuring your dog receives plenty of attention, enrichment, and affection throughout the day.

Doggy Daycare

We offer both full-day and half-day daycare sessions (up to 4 hours), operating Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, excluding Bank Holidays.

Our structured daily routine is carefully designed to support your dog's physical wellbeing, mental stimulation, and social development. No two days are exactly the same, with a variety of activities tailored to keep dogs engaged, happy, and fulfilled.

Activities may include:

• Supervised social play with carefully matched groups
• Basic obedience and confidence-building exercises
• Sensory games and enrichment activities
• Interactive scavenger hunts and problem-solving challenges
• Relaxation and quiet rest periods
• Plenty of one-to-one attention, affection, and cuddles

By combining exercise, enrichment, socialisation, and rest, we help ensure your dog returns home happy, content, and ready to relax after a rewarding day.

Adventure Walks

For dogs who would benefit from additional exercise, fresh air, or one-to-one time away from the daycare environment, we offer optional individual walking sessions.

Choose from either a 30-minute or 60-minute walk, led by an experienced member of our team on local routes familiar to all staff. For added safety and peace of mind, all dogs remain on lead throughout their walk while still enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells of the great outdoors.

Our walks are tailored to each dog's individual needs, allowing them to explore at a comfortable pace and enjoy dedicated one-to-one attention.

Following their walk, dogs are given time to relax and recover before rejoining their daycare friends, ensuring they remain comfortable and happy throughout the day.

This additional service is particularly beneficial for larger breeds, high-energy dogs, working breeds, and dogs that thrive with extra physical and mental stimulation.

Why use Dog Daycare

What Is Dog Daycare?

If you've never used a dog daycare before, you may be wondering exactly what it is and whether it's the right choice for your dog.

Put simply, dog daycare is a safe, supervised environment where dogs can spend the day socialising, exercising, playing, learning, and relaxing while their owners are at work or otherwise occupied.

Much like a nursery for children, dog daycare provides structure, companionship, and stimulation throughout the day. Dogs are typically dropped off in the morning and collected later in the day, although shorter sessions may also be available.

Unlike kennels or boarding facilities, dog daycare is not an overnight service. The focus is on providing enriching daytime care that keeps dogs physically active, mentally stimulated, and socially engaged.

At Happy Dogs Daycare, our purpose-built facility offers spacious indoor play areas, enrichment activities, structured routines, and carefully supervised social interaction. Every aspect of the daycare experience is designed to ensure dogs have fun, stay safe, and return home happy and fulfilled.

Because dogs spend their day interacting with both people and other dogs, daycare is best suited to friendly, sociable dogs that enjoy company and thrive in an active environment. Before joining us, every dog completes an assessment to ensure daycare is the right fit for their personality and temperament.

What Are the Benefits of Dog Daycare?

For many dogs, daycare offers far more than simply being looked after while their owners are away.

A well-run daycare environment provides opportunities for socialisation, exercise, enrichment, confidence building, and companionship throughout the day. Rather than spending long periods home alone, dogs are able to enjoy meaningful interaction and activity that supports their overall wellbeing.

Benefits of regular daycare attendance can include:

• Increased confidence around people and other dogs
• Improved social skills and manners
• Reduced boredom and loneliness
• Better physical fitness and weight management
• Mental stimulation and enrichment
• Reduced excess energy and unwanted behaviours at home
• A more settled, contented dog at the end of the day

Many owners find that daycare helps reduce behaviours associated with boredom and frustration, such as excessive barking, chewing, digging, and restlessness.

Mind + Body + Wellbeing

Just like people, dogs need a healthy balance of physical exercise, mental stimulation, social interaction, and rest.

At Happy Dogs, every day is carefully structured to provide that balance. Through supervised play, enrichment activities, training exercises, sensory games, and relaxation periods, we help keep both your dog's body and mind active.

The result is a happier, healthier, and more fulfilled dog who benefits from a consistent routine and positive daily experiences.

Is Dog Daycare Right for My Dog?

If your work, family commitments, or lifestyle mean your dog is regularly left alone for several hours at a time, daycare can be an excellent solution.

Rather than spending the day waiting at home for you to return, your dog can enjoy companionship, exercise, enrichment, and professional care in a safe and supervised setting.

For many owners, daycare offers greater value than a single daily dog walk because it provides hours of interaction, stimulation, and activity throughout the day.

Most importantly, it provides peace of mind. You can go about your day knowing your dog is safe, cared for, and having a great time with their friends.

At Happy Dogs Daycare, our mission is simple: to ensure every dog leaves happier than when they arrived.
